JANUARY 25TH 2006 MEETING

McEagle Block Club is up and running.

Officers are:

Charlene Strasburg, President

Ann Stines, Vice President

Yvonne Gamble, Treasurer

These members volunteered to serve as officers until a regular election can be held next year. President announced that DeVeaux Street will be included in the boundaries. Neighborhood Crime Watch signs will be installed at entrances to block club area.

Roger Spurback, President of the Niagara Falls Block Club Council gave a presentation on "Disaster Preparedness" at this meeting. He spoke about possible national disasters and local disasters both natural and man made.

The purpose of this presentation was to make the neighbors aware of the need to be prepared in their own home and community. Each household attending received a First Aid Kit provided by Niagara University's B.O.R.D.E.R. Community Services .

A clean up is planned for April 29, 2006 and volunteers are needed. President will contact community groups to assist. The Niagara County Sheriff Work Force will participate and bags and gloves will be provided by the NFBCC.

A staff member of Weed and Seed will be present at the February meeting.
