PARTNER - NIAGARA FALLS CITIZEN CORPS COUNCIL

The Niagara Falls Citizen Corps Council was formed in 2004 and is recognized by the State of New York Emergency Management Office (SEMO).  This is a group of volunteers who meet on a monthly basis to study methods and means to provide homeland security to the citizens of Niagara Falls.  The group consists of citizen members of the United Way of Niagara, the Niagara Falls Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Niagara Falls Block Club Council, Niagara University Border Community S.E.R.V.I.C.E.S., the Niagara Medical Reserve Corps, Niagara Falls C.E.R.T., Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, the Niagara Falls Police Department, the Niagara Falls Fire Department and the City Administration including the Mayor and City Administrator of the City of Niagara Falls.

The Mission of the Niagara Falls Citizen Corps Council is to harnass the power of every individual through education, training and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues and disasters of all kinds.
