Project ZOOM
(Zone, Outreach,
Objective & Mission)
Every other Monday, beginning May
11th, city assessment teams will visit a
specific section of the city. The team
will consist of members from the
Inspections Dept.,
Dept. of Public
Works, Police Dept., Fire Dept. and
SPCA. They will inspect the area for
properties that are not code
compliant. Property owners will be
cited immediately and have 96 hours
to fix the problem or show that they
are bringing the situation into
compliance.
And finally . . . enforcement!
The following Monday, the team will re-inspect the area and move to enforce any property owners
that haven’t complied. Non-compliant property owners will be issued a warrant to appear in court.
You Are the Eyes & Ears
During the last Block Club Meeting,
the following problems were brought
up:
1. No “One Way” Street signs
coming out of Key Bank parking
lot.
2. Abandoned Cars in alley
3. Excessive noise and traffic at
certain addresses
4. Abandoned homes
Since then, #1 has been fixed and the
signs have been put up.
“Hot Sheets” have been submitted
recently to the Inspections Dept., and
Roving Anti-Crime Unit to address
#2 & #3.
If you have an abandoned home next
to you, please call or email Carroll
Schultz
or Maryanne Harvey with the address and “Hot Sheets” will be submitted this month.
